The Effect Of Value

This is an interesting comparison. The smaller painting is Carol’s original version. Very nice but two issues. The dark arches needed more value and the blue of the foreground doesn’t match the colour of the rest of the painting. The larger version has corrected both those issues and is a stronger painting.
