From The ‘Just Playing – Abstract’ File

This is an image that my wife, Susan, did just yesterday.  She did it on the back of an old painting of mine and because the paper was already used like this it took away any fear of ‘ruining’ a big piece of paper.  So she just played, beginning with some large round squiggles and ended up, a few hours later, with this design.  It captures a real sense of freedom and fun.

    Hi Rex
What a pleasant surprise to see my ‘work in progress’ on your blog. Recycling a 18 x 24, 140lb picture of yours really enabled me to just relax and play. Using larger brushes, more pigment, more water and broader strokes were all new and really positive experiences for me. Thanks for all your encouragement. I can hardly wait to play some more. Susan
