I have just organized 3 classes for the next year. Starting September 13, 2011 I will be offering a brand new class: Basic Drawing Skills Part 2 (Full Figure). This class will take Basic Drawing Skills in a new direction as we study the full figure and master drawing it in all sorts of interesting poses and from different perspectives. This will be a natural progression for anyone who has taken Basic Drawing Skills but it is also designed as a self contained class that needs no prerequisite other than a desire to improve your drawing. We will still introduce and practice the four basic drawing skills but will focus our abilities on the full figure. This class will run for 10 weeks.
Starting November 29th, 2011 I will be offering Wonderful Watercolour. This 10 week class will include all the elements that proved so successful in my Mastering Colour class but will take it much further. Topics to be covered include: colour theory, mastering your palette, colour perspective, composition, and well as a multitude of traditional and original watercolour techniques. This class, like Basic Drawing Skills, is designed to quickly and systematically take participants from where ever they are at to new heights. This class will offer stimulation and ideas for experienced painters but it is also designed to support brand new or inexperienced painters. If you would like to learn or improve your ability to express yourself in this wonderful medium this is the class for you. This class is relevant for acrylic painters who would like to explore more fully the watercolour approach to acrylic.
February 28, 2012 will be the return of the original Basic Drawing Skills. This is the class that has allowed so many people to dramatically and quickly take their drawing skills to levels that often seemed unattainable. You simply need to look at some of the older posts on this blog to see how much the students have progressed in such a short time. We will practice the 4 drawing skills and learn that the challenge to better drawing is not in teaching the hand how to draw shapes but in teaching the eye to see them. In this class we will use portraits to practice our skills. Give yourself the gift of discovering your artistic ability.

That’s great Sheila. I’m really looking forward to it also.
